CARE QUALITY COMMISSION INSPECTION AND REPORT: February 2016

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) is responsible for inspecting General Practices in England.  A team of inspectors visits the surgery and examines all aspects of patient care, practice organisation and systems.  They interview staff, review policies and procedures and seek patient views about the practice, both before and during the inspection itself.  They also review data held by  other organisations about the practice, such as how efficient and effective our prescribing is, where the practice benchmarks against other practices in terms of use of hospital services, identified previlance of chronic diseases and these elements are also discussed at that inspection.

Ratings from the inspection are given for the following areas:

SAFETY - both clinical safety and in terms of premises and equipment

RESPONSIVENESS TO PATIENTS

CARE

EFFECTIVENESS

WELL LEAD
