CARE QUALITY COMMISSION INSPECTION AND REPORT: February 2016
The Care Quality Commission (CQC) is responsible for inspecting General Practices in England. A team of inspectors visits the surgery and examines all aspects of patient care, practice organisation and systems. They interview staff, review policies and procedures and seek patient views about the practice, both before and during the inspection itslef. They also review data held by other organisations about the practice, such as how efficient and effective our prescribing is, where the practice benchmarks against other practices in terms of use of hospital services, identified prevelance of chronic diseases and these elemnts are also discussed at that inspection.
Ratings from the inspection are given for the following areas:
SAFETY - both clinical safety and in terms of premises and equipment
RESPONSIVENESS TO PATIENTS
CARE
EFFECTIVENESS
WELL LEAD
We were inspected by the Care Quality Commission in November 2015.
We have recently received our official report and rating following this inspection. The Practice was rated as GOOD in all the areas above.
